Nassau, NY- (April 16, 2014) Matt Pappa has waited over five months for Saturday April 19th when he will buckle into his No. 20Jr. Dirt Sportsman at the Lebanon Valley Speedway for his first race of his sophomore season.
“It’s been a long five months,” said Pappa. “We ended the season with a great deal of confidence and I have been not so patiently waiting to get back behind the wheel. Brett and the guys worked hard over the winter to give me a great machine and I can’t thank them enough for their hard work.”
Pappa will race the entire Lebanon Valley Sportsman schedule in hopes of improving on his third place finish in the 2013 points battle at the high banked 5/8ths mile clay oval. Matt got to shakedown his Teo Chassis Brett Hearn Enterprises prepared racer at Orange County Speedway early in April but the talented teen can’t wait to get back to his home track.
“Last year was a great learning season and we had a good year but I feel like I learned so much that I can now translate what I learned from Brett in 2014 into winning results. Winning Rookie of the Year was awesome but as a team we want to win the championship at the Valley and it all starts Saturday.”
This is Pappa’s second season teaming with Brett Hearn and in 2013 Pappa showed flashes of brilliance to the 8-time Super DirtCar champion. “Matt did a really good job in his rookie season,” stated Hearn. “I believe that he will do even better this year. He impressed me with his car control and we’ve talked about a number of areas that he can improve. I’m looking forward to a great season for TeamTwenty.”For more information about marketing and media opportunities please call Rolfe Schnur at 954-224-8661.
